I gazed down the sidewalk that seemed to stretch endlessly into the horizon. The streetlights that dimly light the path were all out. Luckily for me, the night sky was clear, and the full moon and stars veiled my world in a pale glow. I looked back at the path behind me, and just stared for a while. It seemed almost symbolic that both the path behind and the path before me were blank and devoid of light.
